Oak Hill, WV (WOAY)- The Wreaths Across America program recognizes our fallen heroes by placing a wreath at their graves.
The organization is accepting wreath orders now for National Wreaths Across America Day on Saturday, December 13.
The order deadline is Sunday, November 30.
You can sponsor a wreath for $17 to place on the grave of a veteran that you know or another veteran who does not have a wreath at Highlawn Memorial Park.
You can also purchase a wreath for a veteran at a different local cemetery.
Additionally, individuals can put the names of living veterans and service members on their wreaths.
On National Wreaths Across America Day, volunteers nationwide will place wreaths on veterans’ graves to honor their lives and service to their country.
There are thousands of veterans laid to rest at Highlawn, and organizers are hoping this year every veteran gets a wreath.
To purchase a wreath, or to find out how you can volunteer, call Highlawn Memorial Park at (304) 469-3283.
