It is a wonderful afternoon around the region after a cloudy start. Temperatures wound up around the 80-degree mark everywhere except in Pineville, which wound up in the middle 80s.
With dry air in place now, lows tonight will drop to around 60 degrees. That’s actually close to the normal, but it will feel cool since we’ve been so mild lately.
Tomorrow promises to be one of the best weather days that seen in several weeks. High temperatures will be in the lower 80s and there will be plenty of sunshine along with low humidity. While the trend of nice weather will continue into and out of the holiday weekend, temperatures will be on the upswing. Highs will wind up in the middle 80s on Saturday and upper 80s to near 90 on Sunday. Be sure to take it easy during the second half of the weekend if you plan to be outside.
The next batch of showers and storms will arrive on Monday afternoon and last through the end of the extended forecast.
