Woman pleaded guilty for failing to update registration as a sex offender

Kanawha County, WV (WOAY) – 48-year-old Misty Dawn Baisden of Saint Albans pleaded guilty Thursday for failing to update her registration as required by the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act as a convicted sex offender. (SORNA)

Court documents state that from September to October of last year, Baisden failed to report that she began working at a Saint Albans business.

Baisden has to register as a sex offender from her conviction for conspiracy to engage in the sex trafficking of a minor on October 19, 2017.

She is scheduled to be sentenced on June 22 and faces at most 10 years in prison, at least 5 years to a lifetime of supervised release, and a fine of up to $250,000.
