Ghent, WV (WOAY) Winterplace Ski Resort is ringing in the new year with new ski and snowboard programs and a full slate of competitive events for riders of all ages.
The resort is offering flexible options this season.
New offerings include a four-week club program for groups, youth ski and snowboard sessions for kids ages 5 to 12, and a development race team for junior skiers looking to sharpen their skills.
January also brings high-energy events to the slopes, like Friday night gates racing under the lights, freestyle rail jams in the terrain park, and weekly throwdown Thursday sessions for freestyle riders.
Winterplace officials say the goal is to get families outside, active, and enjoying winter together.
