Ghent, WV (WOAY)- Winterplace is gearing up for opening day of the 2025–2026 winter season.
The resort is officially welcoming skiers and snowboarders this Saturday, December 6th.
Winterplace will operate from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with one trail, a chairlift, and the Heaven Holler Terrain Park open to start the season.
Snowmaking will continue with more terrain opening on Saturday, December 13.
This season kicks off with some national recognition Winterplace has earned, top 3 honors in the USA Today 10Best Awards for both Best Ski School and Best Place for Snow Tubing.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals are active now through December 1 at 6:30 p.m.
Guests can also look forward to a special visitor on the slopes as Santa arrives at the mountain from December 23-25.
