Winter Weather Continues; Extended Break Follows

WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Snow will continue to fall in bursts today, with accumulation around an inch expected in most places. However, the weather is finally making a positive turn in what seems like forever. Meteorologist Christian Boteler has the details:

Snow will linger in the morning hours tomorrow before giving way to partly sunny skies with chilly temperatures throughout the day. Saturday is the start of the warm-up, with temperatures back above freezing and partly cloudy skies lasting all the way through the weekend. This is a much needed break from the rain and snow we’ve seen all month thus far.

Monday will see clouds developing across the area before the next rain chance on Tuesday. These will be scattered showers and shouldn’t cause much damage beyond some pooling of water. A high pressure system will blow through Wednesday, giving us another dry day before the next low pressure system comes through on Thursday. It will start as rain before switching to snow in places as temperatures cool off once again. Stay tuned with the StormWatch team here at WOAY for the latest in weather.
