WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Snow started to fall overnight and will continue to fall through the day. Winds are whipping up as well, with gusts reaching up to 25 mils per hour. This is causing even lower wind chills and limited visibility in some places. Make sure to drive cautiously and to bundle up through the day. Snowfall will reach an inch to three inches in Oak Hill and surrounding communities, while the mountains will see higher totals and the Greenbrier Valley will see lower totals. Roads may also freeze overnight as temperatures dip back into the teens and lower 20s. With all of these factors, Winter Weather Advisories and Warnings have been issued across the region until 7 AM tomorrow morning. Meteorologist Christian Boteler has the details:
Snow will linger overnight before leaving tomorrow morning, making for a drier but chilly Veteran’s Day. You’ll need the winter clothes through Wednesday morning, as low temperatures will dip back into the upper 20s. After that, temperatures will rise into the 50s Wednesday afternoon and return on Thursday. Clouds will gradually dissipate, helping us with the warm up. This stretch is the start of a dry streak that will last through Saturday.
Friday will be wonderful once again as temperatures just barely miss 60 degrees, but that mark will be reached on Saturday. Aside from a small group of showers potentially passing through Friday night, the skies stay mostly sunny until Sunday. Unfortunately, the end of the weekend will bring increasing clouds through the day and rain that starts to fall late Sunday night into Monday morning. Here’s your 7-Day Forecast:
