A Wind Advisory is in effect for Southeast Nicholas, Greenbrier and Pocahontas Counties until 8AM Monday morning 10/20/25. Wind gusts up to 50 mph are possible after the cold front passed through the region earlier today.
Temperatures as of 7PM Sunday were nearly 30 degrees cooler than 24 hours before! The cold front that passed through definitely brought some cold air down into Appalachia as it’s not just our state impacted. It’s a very widespread region from the Great Lakes and south.

Heading further on into the week, we will have a slight warm up Tuesday before more scattered and isolated showers occur in West Virginia, leading to another cool down by Wednesday with lows dropping into the low to mid 30’s across the region by Friday morning. As for your Fabulous Football Friday, another dry but chilly day looks to be in store! Small rain chances are in the forecast as well this weekend.
