WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, WV (WOAY) – A revamped White Sulphur Springs municipal swimming pool will soon be open to the public.
The original pool was built in the ’70s and was shut down due to a large leak that cost the city thousands in lost water. White Sulphur Springs mayor Bruce Bowling told WOAY that the pool has been closed for almost eight years.
“It’s been a long time coming. I’m really disappointed that we couldn’t open it this year, but it will be ready to go next Spring”, said Mayor Bruce Bowling.
The swimming pool will open next year on Memorial Day.
