Oceana, WV (WOAY)- The West Virginia State Police will be setting up a Sobriety Checkpoint this Thursday, July 10, along Route 10 in the Oceana area of Wyoming County.
The checkpoint will be active from 6 PM to midnight.Â
Officials say the goal is to deter impaired driving and to educate the public about the serious risks and consequences of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.Â
Law enforcement is encouraging all drivers to be alert and responsible, and to do their part by reporting any suspected impaired drivers.
