Flatwoods, WV (WOAY) West Virginia State Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a missing man.
According to authorities, on June 24, Trooper First Class Posey and Trooper Cooley of the Sutton Detachment responded to a report of a missing and endangered person in the Flatwoods area of Braxton County.
Relatives report that they have not seen 71-year-old Martin Craig Cogar since June 19 at his Long Fork Road residence.
Cogar has known health conditions, including diabetes, and he does not have a cell phone.
Officers immediately began search efforts, including deploying K-9 teams, but Cogar has not yet been located.
He has been entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database as a Missing and Endangered Person, and a Silver Alert has been activated.
Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact local authorities.
