Hinton, WV (WOAY) – The West Virginia State Police are asking for the public’s help locating a missing woman.
Trooper S.K. Weikle responded to a call requesting a welfare check at a home on Temple Street in Hinton on Thursday, October 12.
Upon arrival, Weikle attempted to locate 41-year-old Valerie Whittaker.
Weikle spoke with Whittaker’s sister, who said she planned to take a Greyhound bus in Beckley on Sunday, October 8.
Another witness told Weikle that he dropped Whittaker off at McDonald’s on Robert C Byrd Drive in Beckley on October 8 and has not seen or heard from her since.
