Hinton, WV (WOAY)—The West Virginia State Police (WVSP) will conduct a sobriety checkpoint in Summers County this week.
The checkpoint will be on Route 107 Stokes Drive in Hinton from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 22nd.
The purpose of the checkpoint is to deter impaired driving and educate the public about the dangers of operating a vehicle while under the influence.
WVSP urges the public to assist them in preventing drunk driving by reporting intoxicated and drug-impaired drivers to local authorities.
