BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – West Virginia Public Broadcasting recently selected the Raleigh Playhouse and Theatre for a small business sponsorship.
The small business sponsorship is part of an initiative to highlight local businesses that have remained open during the pandemic.
Shane Pierce, manager of the Raleigh Playhouse, says the sponsorship is a great opportunity for artists throughout the community.
“Us getting an opportunity like this to be advertised on public broadcasting is a way for everybody to get advertised. Because if somebody watches one of our live streams, they don’t just see us at the Raleigh, they see all kinds of individual artists and other arts organizations and the work that they’re all doing,” Pierce said.
To stay open, the Playhouse has been featuring live streams of artistic performances on their Facebook page.
