Beckley, WV (WOAY) Animal lovers will have a chance to hit the trails with some four-legged companions this weekend.
The West Virginia Land Trust is partnering with the Humane Society of Raleigh County for a hiking event featuring adoptable shelter dogs on Sunday, June 14.
Participants will meet at the Humane Society of Raleigh County at 1:00 p.m. before heading to Piney Creek Preserve for an afternoon hike.
Organizers say the event is designed to give shelter dogs exercise, socialization, and a chance to connect with potential adopters.
The hike is free to attend, but registration is required at wvlandtrust.org.
Participants will receive additional details and directions after signing up.
