WOAY – West Virginia is the 3rd seed in the Midwest region of the NCAA Tournament.
They will face 14th-seeded Morehead State in the first round. That contest takes place on Friday.
West Virginia has faced Morehead State three times since 1980, with the Mountaineers winning all matchups.
This marks West Virginia’s first appearance in the Big Dance since the 2017-18 season.
