West Virginia Department of Human Services set to begin accepting clothing voucher applications on July 7

West Virginia (WOAY) – The West Virginia Department of Human Services will begin accepting applications for the School Clothing Allowance program on July 7th.

Eligible families with children enrolled in West Virginia schools can receive $200 per child to help cover the cost of school clothing, or fabric for families who sew.

But all families must apply to be considered.

To qualify, household income limits apply.

For example, a family of four must have a monthly income of less than $3,380, and the income for July must be verified with the application.

Apply online at wvpath.wv.gov, or request a paper application by calling 1-877-716-1212 or contacting your local DoHS office.

All applications must be received by July 31.

This year, recipients will receive an EBT card instead of a paper voucher, offering greater flexibility, online purchasing options, and expanded vendor choices.

Foster care families will still receive checks.
