Beckley, WV (WOAY)- As the temperatures drop, families and individuals are looking for winter essentials such as coats.
State and county organizations want to make sure everyone has what they need to stay warm.
The West Virginia Department of Human Services and Raleigh County United for Prevention are hosting a free community event on Wednesday, November 5, offering coats, hot dogs, hot chocolate, and local resources for those in need.
It’s happening from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Word Park, beside the WV Department of Human Services building in Beckley.
Organizers say supplies are limited, so those interested are encouraged to stop by early.
