Weekend Outlook: Nice weather continues

OAK HILL, WV (WOAY) – After a very nice day today, the clear skies, cool afternoon temps, and longer nights have led to a mostly clear and cold start to the weekend around the region. After dropping into the mid-to-upper-30s this morning, temperatures will be in the lower to mid-60s this afternoon, close to the seasonal normal.

Just like today, there will be plenty of sunshine. It is a perfect day for any outdoor plans. In all parts of the region outside of the highest elevations, the fall colors are at their peak as well.

As the day goes on, there will be a bit of a breeze, but a light jacket or a sweatshirt will keep out the chill. Lows Saturday night will once again be in the mid-to-upper 30s.

The second half of the weekend will be nice again, with similar conditions to the first half. Under mostly sunny skies, highs will be in the lower to mid-60s. Lows Sunday night will be in the mid-30s, a degree or two cooler than they will be Saturday night.

The nice conditions will continue through the end of the extended forecast. Temperatures will rise a shade and stay above normal on both ends of the scale. Like this weekend, the extended forecast will be dry. There are still hints that rain will finally return in early November, but there is still great uncertainty about that possibility.
