OAK HILL, WV (WOAY) – There have been a few showers around the area this evening as a disturbance makes its way through the southern part of the state. None of the showers are heavy, but they have been persistent and will slow us down a bit as we head out to our late Friday plans. Areas that see rain, in particular, could also see some patchy fog tomorrow morning. Lows tonight will be in the lower 60s in most areas, with upper 50s possible for some.
The first half of the weekend will be relatively cool, as highs wind up in the mid-70s. That’s about five degrees below normal. There could be a few showers around the area again as another of those disturbances spins off the stationary front that is off to our south.
Any showers will be light, and any rainfall amounts will be negligible, but an indoor alternative to your outdoor plans will be a good idea. Lows Saturday night will be around 60 degrees.
By Sunday, the weather will be even more pleasant, as there will be more sunshine and slightly warmer temperatures. Highs on Sunday will be around 80 degrees, and we should stay dry, save for some scattered showers. The chances of rain are lower than what we’ll see tomorrow. It will be a nice day overall as we begin to see a return flow ahead of our next storm system, which will arrive on Tuesday. As we start the traditional work week, we’ll start with temperatures in the lower 60s.
