OAK HILL, WV (WOAY) – It was another nice day around the area, with plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures. Tonight will be a mild one around the area, with lows in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees.
Tomorrow will be another very nice day, with highs another degree or two warmer than they were today. We’ll top out in the lower to mid-80s. To complete the summerlike feel to the weather, there will be a bit more humidity as moist air is pulled into the region ahead of our next weathermaker. While there will be more clouds around, be sure to wear plenty of sunscreen tomorrow and drink plenty of water, as it will feel as warm as, or even warmer than, the air temperature. The only chance for showers and storms will be to our north and northwest. The Storm Prediction Center thinks some of those storms will be on the strong-to-severe side.

The second half of the weekend will start with temperatures in the lower 60s, a bit warmer than Saturday morning. The day will also feature showers and storms. While some of the storms could contain gusty winds and perhaps small hail, severe weather is not expected.

The bulk of the showers should be in the northern parts of the area, and rainfall totals there will be decent, perhaps a quarter inch or more in the strongest storms.

With the extra cloud cover, temperatures will be a shade cooler, with highs in the lower 80s.
