We have several different weather systems coming in our direction through Saturday. The first one will come through tonight into tomorrow and will likely mainly bring a wintry mix of precipitation before 7AM Sunday, before transitioning to full rain after that. We are not looking at much snow and ice through tomorrow, but the highest elevations could get an inch of snow. Ice potential looks to be mainly a light glaze across some areas transitioning out of snow and into rain, but should not amount to much through Sunday.

Looking ahead to the rest of the 7 day forecast, I think the system late Monday night into Tuesday is definitely worth watching. This one has the most “hazard” potential for Southern West Virginia in terms of weather impacts. More snow and more ice potential look in the cards for the system on Tuesday, than the one Sunday.
As we move into Friday and Saturday, we are watching another system that could bring some more wintry precipitation to the area before switching to rain. Still way too far out for specific impacts, but just know that we definitely look to be impacted by something heading into the weekend.
