We will be warm and could have some isolated showers come through Monday and Tuesday. Here is a look Tuesday morning that shows some shower activity in our region. This will not be a washout and temperatures will be nice, so get out and enjoy Monday and Tuesday if you can!
Once we head into Wednesday through Sunday, rain looks to become more widespread and heavy across the region. It will not rain every minute of these days, but there could be more rainy time than dry time through that timeframe. If you plan to do yard work or anything outside, try to plan it during the dry slots that will likely pop up throughout our region. The photos below show what the European model shows Friday afternoon, then again Sunday afternoon. Sunday will be more widespread rain along a cold front that looks to sweep through our region, although no snow is expected to be present with this frontal passage.

Here is a look at the rainfall totals from the European model. It has been on the increase since yesterday, with totals rising about a half inch throughout the region. We will continue to watch to see how the rainfall totals trend. For right now, plan for a pretty wet week with most of the rain falling in our northern areas.

Looking at the 7 day forecast, every day has the potential for rain in our area. Keep the rain gear handy heading into next week. Don’t be shocked if some thunder occurs Wednesday and Thursday across some of our region as we will have enough energy in the atmosphere to support that, although severe weather at this time appears non-existent.
