What a great day today was around southern West Virginia. Highs were in the 70s area wide and there was plenty of sunshine! The down side is that it was breezy, and that raised the fire danger a bit. After a break tomorrow, with a few isolated showers and storms, there will be another round of breezy and dry conditions on Friday.
This weekend, a potent storm system to our northwest brings us a good chance for rain. Some of the showers and storms will be on the strong side and heavy rain means some ponding of water on roads and some standing water in areas that typically see water gather when the rain is heavy. At the moment, it appears that any storms will stay below severe limits, but we’ll be tracking it for you over the next few days.
