Vounteers aid flood clean up

ALDERSON, WV (WOAY) – Flooding in Alderson impacted plenty of homes throughout the town. While local companies have led the cleanup, volunteers have also stepped up to help out.

For some of these volunteers, the experience has been valuable in more ways than one.

“We’ve been helping pick up trash, move drywall and insulation, stuff like that,” said volunteer Keagen Roerig. “It’s not an easy process. It’s a good learning experience for sure. We still have to get rid of all of the trash and everything. Get rid of like all of the nails, rotted old studs.”

Clean up in Alderson is expected to continue throughout the summer.
