Fayetteville, WV (WOAY) A preservation project is coming up at the Kaymoor Miners Trail, and they are seeking volunteers to help.
The National Park Service, New River Alliance of Climbers, and Preservation Alliance of West Virginia will host the volunteer day on Wednesday, October 14, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Volunteers will help with restoration work by removing invasive plants near the historic hoist house.
Organizers will teach volunteers how to identify invasive plant species and safely remove them.
Tools and personal protective equipment will be provided.
The group will meet at the Kaymoor Top parking lot near Butcher Branch and Kaymoor Miners Trailhead.
