BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – Visit Southern West Virginia has released its new, official 2024 visitors guide.
The book, designed by West Virginia design company Digital Relativity, will help visitors to Southern West Virginia find things to do and places to stay and eat.
Last year, Visit Southern West Virginia distributed 100,000 copies of its 2023 guide.
“Every spring when we receive the newest visitors guide, it feels like Christmas,”Lisa Strader, executive director of Visit Southern West Virginia, said. “The amount of work that goes into our annual piece is only surpassed by the amount of pride we get when sharing it both potential visitors and those looking for more things to see and do while in our coverage area.”
Visit Southern West Virginia serves 9 counties, all within our viewing area, where tourists spent more than a billion dollars last year. It is primarily funded by a tax on lodging, as well as its membership program.
Editor’s note: A previous version of this story indicated that Visit SWV distributed 400,000 copies. We have updated this story with correct numbers.
