Virginia’s Governor announced over five million dollars in grants

RICHMOND, VA (WOAY) – Virginia’s Governor Glenn Youngkin has announced that $5.4 million in grant awards.

This will go to several communities in the state to support 30 local projects. These projects will look to transform vacant structures, improve local economies, expand small businesses, and revitalize historic commercial districts.

The funding will generate hundreds of new jobs, enhance the communities, and leverage millions of dollars in public and private investments.

Governor Glenn Youngkin said, “We are thrilled to partner with business and community leaders to launch projects that will create jobs and strengthen these historic downtowns. I look forward to seeing these projects create opportunity and prosperity for the Virginia communities that make our state the best place to live, work, raise a family, and do business,”
