Valley College receives accreditation renewal

Valley College’s campus in Beckley received a five-year renewal of its accreditation from the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges.

Accreditation helps give credibility to degrees that colleges award.

“We are proud to maintain our affiliation with a class of prestigious institutions accredited by ACCSC,” said Beth Gardner, Valley College Vice-President of Academics, Career Services, and Regulatory Affairs. “Since our founding in 1987, Valley College has been committed to helping individuals build a brighter future through focused career training and access to resources. We’re honored to continue that commitment with the ACCSC’s support.

Valley College offers two-year and four-year programs, and half of its thousand students are online students. The school’s campuses in Martinsburg and Cleveland, Ohio were also accredited.

Earlier this year, Valley College was acquired by Franciscan Services, an affiliate of Hilbert College and will transition to a non-profit institution.
