UPDATE: WV DHHR says 290 people have recovered from COVID-19

UPDATE: The West Virginia DHHR is now reporting that 290 people have recovered from COVID-19.

CHARLESTON, WV (WOAY) – The West Virginia DHHR is now reporting that 265 people have recovered from COVID-19.

As of Monday, April 20, 2020, 22,155 tests have been conducted in the State of West Virginia, 21,253 tests have come back negative, and 902 have come back positive. As of today, 24 deaths have been announced, and 265 people (32.4%) have recovered.

To be considered fully recovered, the DHHR says the person has been released from the hospital and/or at least three days without a fever and seven days without symptoms.

The DHHR says that not all counties are reported recovered cases at this time.

The statewide cumulative positive lab results stand at 4.07%
