Update on Wyoming County School’s employee that tested positive for COVID-19

WYOMING COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – Last week a Wyoming County Schools employee tested positive for COVID-19.

The employee worked at the Wyoming County Career and Technical Center and had no contact with students. The school board followed guidelines from the Wyoming County Health Department and closed the school. The school has been deep cleaned and sanitized and will remain closed until September 23rd.

“It was at our career and technical center, the employee is doing well, and we followed all health department mandates and directions,” Wyoming County Schools Superintendent Deirdre Cline said. “We expect that our career center will be back in business, if all goes well, on September 23rd.”

We wish the employee a speedy recovery.
