UPDATE: Name released in fatal crash that occurred in Mercer County

Authorities report three people dead and two others injured following a Thanksgiving Day crash along Interstate 79.

BRAMWELL, WV (WOAY) – The name of the victim that died in a two-car crash has been released.

Sgt. Christian with the State Police Princeton Detachment tells WOAY that Mark Little, 32, of Bluefield, VA died on the scene during a crash Tuesday afternoon.

Six occupants were injured, including the one fatality.  Five occupants were transported to various hospitals.  Three of those occupants are in critical condition in ICU, one has non-life threatening injuries, and the other has been released from the hospital.  Troopers say that the one released from the hospital was the only occupant wearing a seatbelt.

Troopers have done a reconstruction of the scene and believe that speed was a factor due to the damage.

Troopers say the exact cause of the accident is still under investigation, and charges may be filed.
