Beckley, WV (WOAY) – A local university is earning high praise for one of its programs.
According to a media release, the WVU School of Nursing Beckley Campus, located at WVU Tech, has been named “Best Nursing School in West Virginia” 2026 from RegisteredNursing.org.
RegisteredNursing.org focuses exclusively on the NCLEX, or National Council Licensure Examination pass rates as criteria for their raking system Highlighting nursing students’ success in passing their licensure exams.
According to recent NCLEX statistics, the WVU School of Nursing Beckley Campus earned a 100% pass rate.
“I am incredibly proud of our faculty and our students for earning this ranking,” said Hillary Parcell, Beckley Campus Chair. “Our curriculum is rigorous, but our faculty go the extra mile to make sure our students are prepared for their licensure exams and beyond.”
According to published statistics from RegisteredNursing.org, the number of nursing positions available to new nurses is projected to rise by 12% in the next 10 years in West Virginia.
