United Way to host Safe & Social Golf Scramble fundraiser this May

BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – The United Way of Southern West Virginia is planning to host a golfing fundraiser this May at the Black Knight Country Club.

Golf courses are one of the few recreation businesses still open and operating safely.

Executive Director of the United Way of Southern West Virginia Megan Legursky says the idea of the fundraiser is to find a safe and creative way to get the community together.

“Let’s try to encourage our community to get together and support a golf outing for a great cause but in a safe way. So we are having what we’ve called our Safe and Social Golf Scramble on Friday, May 22 at the historic Black Knight,” Legursky said.

Tee times will be at 9 AM and 1 PM, and registration will cost $100.
