UKV Paranormal Society hosting public ghost hunt on October 4 to scare up funds in support of Fayette Co. Humane Society and Cottle Mountainair Hotel

Mount Hope, WV (WOAY) A spooky night for a good cause is happening in Fayette County.

On Saturday, October 4, from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. the UKV Paranormal Society will be at the historic Cottle Mountainair Hotel in Mount Hope to host a one-of-a-kind public ghost hunt.

Guests will have the opportunity to explore the building’s haunted halls, where people have reported hearing footsteps, shadows, and whispers in the dark, all while using professional ghost-hunting equipment.

Admission is $25 at the door.

Every ticket helps preserve the Cottle Mountainair Hotel and supports the Fayette County Humane Society, which is overflowing with cats and dogs waiting for forever homes.

Organizers will split proceeds 50/50, with half supporting the restoration and preservation of the Cottle Mountainair Hotel and the other half going to the care and support of the animals at the Fayette County Humane Society.

Spots are limited, so if you’re brave enough to face the unknown, this could be your chance to make history and help animals in need at the same time.
