McDowell County, WV (WOAY) Two men are facing felony drug charges following a traffic stop in McDowell County.
The McDowell County Sheriff’s Office says deputies conducted a traffic stop during the evening hours of Friday, June 5, leading to a criminal investigation.
As a result, deputies arrested Tony Ward Jr. of Bluefield and James Valentine of Welch.
Authorities say suspected controlled substances and a handgun were recovered during the investigation.
Both men now face multiple felony drug charges.
The Sheriff’s Office says it remains committed to combating illegal narcotics in the county.
