Truist West Virginia Foundation grants $10,000 for Concord University’s Pathways Scholarship

Athens, WV (WOAY) – Concord University has received a generous gift from Truist West Virginia Foundation to help West Virginia residents affordably further their education.

The University recently received a $10,000 grant from the Truist West Virginia Foundation to support the Pathways Scholarship.

The scholarship is supported by funds raised through the Concord University Foundation and matched by the Maier Foundation of Charleston.

The Pathways Scholarship is awarded annually to rising and current sophomores, juniors, or seniors.

Qualifying students must be West Virginia residents who are facing financial hardships that could otherwise force them to withdraw from college.

This year, 50 students who apply for the scholarship will earn $2,000 to fund their educations.
