WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): As Veteran’s Day starts, many roads are covered by snow and ice from last night, which will affect the morning commute. Make sure to drive a bit slower as you make your way out, and only travel if it is necessary. Snow will continue to fall through the early morning, dissipating from now until it clears up early this afternoon. The skies will gradually shed cloud cover as well, making for a better evening commute despite the cold temperatures. This is the coldest we’ll be for a while, as temperatures will steadily improve for the rest of the week. Meteorologist Christian Boteler has the details:
Tomorrow will start the improvement of temperatures across the region. The morning will be cold again, but afternoon temperatures will reach close to 50 degrees across the region. These temperatures last through tomorrow as well. High pressure to our west will also keep us dry, bringing on some nice late autumn weather across the region. Temperatures will take another hike on Friday, jumping into the upper 50s in the afternoon. Lows will consistently be in the low 30s across the work week, so layers will still be needed.
This weekend will start with a few brief showers on Saturday morning, moving out quickly. The remainder of Saturday will be nicer with partly sunny skies and temperatures finally crossing the 60 degree mark. Warmer temperatures will continue on through the weekend, but more showers will pop in as a low-pressure system will pass through the Great lakes again. Rain will be on and off Sunday into Monday as well. Here’s your 7-Day Forecast:
