Toys for Tots foundation continues efforts amid the pandemic

GREENBRIER COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – Volunteers and workers from Toys for Tots have been coming up with unique methods for fundraising during COVID-19.

One of these methods is a partnership with Appalachian Kettle Corn in Crab Orchard. They will be selling large bags of kettle corn until September 14th to raise money for children this holiday season.

“I have tried to be creative, and I have some fundraisers that I’ve been trying to do, that I can personally donate to Toys for Tots,” said Toys for Tots Volunteer Lora Stevens. “I’m trying to make it COVID friendly and COVID safe. Every Thursday on Facebook live, I do bingo, and that is normally a prize bingo.”

50% of the profits from these bingo games during COVID go to Toys for Tots, and you can find more information for how to get involved or donate on the “Toys for Tots Greenbrier County WV” Facebook page.
