Town of Oceana election results

OCEANA, WV (WOAY) – The Town of Oceana held their municipal election today.

The results are:

Mayor: Tom Evans (Incumbent) – 185 votes

Recorder: Jim Cook (Incumbent) – 173 votes

City Council:

Home Nutter (Incumbent) – 132 votes

Terri Maynor (Incumbent) – 115 votes

Chuck Shirley – 113 votes

Mary Nutter (Incumbent) – 99 votes

Jared Harless (Incumbent) – 98 votes

Bryant Whisenant was the only city council member not to win re-election. 

Canvassing will take place on Monday, August 3.
