Bluefield, VA (WOAY) If you’re looking for an easy way to help the environment, the Town of Bluefield is reminding residents about its June recycling collection schedule.
Cardboard recycling will be collected on June 16 and 30, while plastics labeled number one and number two will be accepted on June 9 and 23.
Town officials ask residents to flatten cardboard boxes and make sure they’re clean and dry before collection.
For plastic recycling, look for the number one or number two symbol on the bottom of bottles and containers.
Officials say recycling helps reduce landfill waste and keeps reusable materials in circulation throughout the community.
Residents can set their recycling out on the curb just like they do with trash on the appropriate recycling day, and the crew will pick it up for you.
