Tourism aids Wyoming businesses

PINEVILLE, WV (WOAY) – Despite having reopened for business, restaurants in Wyoming County are operating at a maximum of 50% capacity. The recent uptick in tourism has allowed those restaurants to still operate comfortably.

“There’s still this huge gap because a lot of people are still staying home, a lot of people are scared and things like that,” said Ole Jose owner Jill Hendrick. “So, the tourism helps narrow that gap, and helps pick up a lot of the loss of business that the locals were giving us.”

Ole Jose is currently managing a full staff despite the limits on seating.
