Three Rivers Avian Center and Moonstruck Maple hosting double public tour day on October 4

Hinton, WV (WOAY) – The Three Rivers Avian Center is hosting its last public tour day of the season on Saturday, October 4. 

The free event will take place from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. and allows visitors to meet the center’s raptor ambassadors, which feature hawks, owls, falcons, a vulture, and a bald eagle.  

Visitors will enjoy interactive educational displays, tour the Three Rivers Avian Center facility, and meet representatives from the Hanging Rock Raptor Observatory.  

Three Rivers is teaming up with Moonstruck Maple, its gourmet maple syrup and confectionery neighbor at their maple factory, for this special double tour day.  

Moonstruck Maple will offer free tours of its maple house, allowing visitors to witness the process of making maple syrup, learn about tree tapping, and enjoy complimentary tastings.  

Maple syrup and confectionery items will be available for purchase.  

The last tour will begin at 4:30 p.m.  

Admission is free, but donations are always welcome.
