Beckley, WV (WOAY) – Theatre West Virginia is accepting registrations for upcoming Professional Training Academy classes, which will kick off on January 23.
From now to January 1, students can enroll in one class for $150 or two courses for $250.
The semester will include 12 classes and end with a recital in April 2024.
The Professional Training Academy offers various classes for all ages, such as Dance for Actors, Acting for the Camera, and Musical Theater.
Instructors are experienced theater performers and veterans of Theatre WV, like Academy Manager Sam Jenkins, who hopes to see some new faces in 2024.
“Whether you’re an experienced performer or trying theatre out for the first time, our classes will be fun for all ages and will help students to grow in their art and confidence,” says Jenkins.
Classes will occur at the Theatre WV building on 715 North Kanawha Street in Beckley.
However, the Acting for the Camera course will be at United Bank on 129 Main Street in Beckley.
