The West Virginia Hive put on meeting to help local small businesses

HINTON WV (WOAY) – The West Virginia Hive sponsored a Town Hall meeting in Hinton for local businesses dealing with economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic shut down.

In the meeting, the organization discussed business advice, support services and payroll protection loans. The West Virginia Hive also discussed local resources available to entrepreneurs.

“Yesterday we received $750,000 from Governor Justice and the Appalachian Regional Commission to recapitalize our loan fund, but the best thing about it, is the way we targeted it and how the dollars get out,” said Executive Director Joe Brouse.
