OAK HILL, WV (WOAY) – There were a few showers around the area today. The showers are ahead of a front that will produce a better chance for rain tomorrow as it pushes through. But tonight the chances for rain are small, and tomorrow morning’s commute should be a dry one with temperatures in the lower to middle 50s in most areas, with upper 40s in the Greenbrier Valley.

In addition to the chance for rain mentioned above, the temperatures tomorrow will be held in check a bit by the cloud cover. Highs will be in the lower 70s, with some areas not even getting that warm. Overall, it will be cooler than normal. The chance for rain will be fairly low at 30%, but an umbrella wouldn’t be a bad accessory to have just in case. There could even be some rumbles of thunder as well, but the chance for severe weather is nearly zero. Totals with any rain that does fall should be light.

Tomorrow night, the chance for rain ends and temperatures cool off slightly, with lows in the middle to upper 40s.
Later this week, high pressure once again settles just to the north of the area, and already mild highs get even warmer. We’ll top out in the lower 80s during the back half of the extended forecast. A low-pressure center and associated front will wander into the region and stall over the northern part of the state. This will serve as a focal point for showers and a few storms late this weekend and into early next week. But rain chances are not that high, only 30% on Sunday and 40% next Monday.
