The Showdown Art Competition

Love Hope Center for the Arts and the Freefolk Brewery are teaming up to bring a one of a kind art competition to Hico, West Virginia. The showdown is bringing artists from all over the mountain state including Charleston, Morgantown, Fayetteville, Oak Hill and others.

“We’re really excited about this event The Showdown. We’ve got 12 artists that are coming from across the state,” Stacey Tope, executive director Love Hope Center for the Arts said.

The event will feature over a dozen food trucks, a wide selection of local craft beer and at the end, the completed pieces will go up for auction.

The money that is raised is going directly to the love hope center for the arts supporting a great cause and an amazing nonprofit that works tirelessly to keep the arts alive in southern West Virginia.

Events like the showdown help to foster an intimate sense of community as well as support the art that is growing right here in the mountain state.

Tickets can be found at www.Lovehopearts.org/events and they are donation based, meaning you pay what you can.
