BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – The Raleigh County Veterans museum located in Beckley reopens this weekend.
On Friday starting at 11 am, the museum will be offering tours for small groups of no more than six people at a time. The museum encourages people to call ahead to check for available time slots. Visitors and staff will be required to wear masks.
“I’m excited to be back open. We only have a certain amount of months that we are open during the year and the cause of the pandemic, we still have to pay utilities and all the expenses of the museum being here,” said Director Cindy Parker.
The veterans museum plans to relocate to the Raleigh County Sheriffs Department building, once their new facility is completed. If you would like to donate to help make that move possible contact the Raleigh County veterans Museum.
