OAK HILL, WV (WOAY) – As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact the community, many families who are struggling to feed themselves are also facing the challenge of feeding their beloved pets.
To help area pet owners in need, The New River Humane Society will be hosting a drive-thru pet food distribution event at Tractor Supply in Oak Hill on Friday, June 12th, from 6 pm to 8 pm.
“Our main focus is to help community members who have pets at home who are in need to feed them. We just want community members to know that we are a resource,” said New River Humane Society Board President, Kathy Gerencer.
The distribution will occur as a no-contact drive-thru pick up, and everyone will be asked to stay in their cars as food is loaded into their vehicle by volunteers.
