ALDERSON, WV (WOAY) – Volunteers in Alderson continue with cleanup efforts from the flooding that took place on June 19th.
According to Program Coordinator, Kayla McCoy, the flood that took place nearly two weeks ago was not large enough to qualify for assistance from the state. The Greater Greenbrier Long Term Committee is now seeking volunteers to help with cleanup efforts throughout the community.
“Right now we still have volunteer teams out every day Tuesday through Friday working to clean out flood-affected homes. We still have a lot of work to do and I am actively recruiting more volunteers,” said McCoy.
